Secant Pile Walls
Primary and secondary piles for excavation support and deep shoring systems.

Vancouver & Lower Mainland · Project-based supply
Project-based concrete supply for drilling, deep foundations and excavation support.
Secant piling and shoring projects require concrete supply that can keep pace with drilling production, changing site conditions, phased work and demanding project schedules.
Uber Concrete helps drilling contractors, shoring specialists, civil contractors and developers source concrete for secant pile walls, soldier pile systems, deep foundations and related excavation-support work.
Why shoring is hard to service
Secant piling and shoring projects are difficult to service with a conventional delivery schedule, because the work does not hold still long enough to plan around a fixed order.
Uber Concrete helps drilling contractors, shoring specialists, civil contractors and developers source concrete for this kind of work — and reviews the project first to identify which supply options are realistic.
Availability is confirmed per project. We would rather tell you what is realistic up front than commit to a schedule we cannot hold.
A program that looks like eight piles a day can turn into four the moment ground conditions change.
Diameter, depth and overbreak mean the cubic metres per pile are not identical from one shaft to the next.
Tight urban sites, hoarding lines and single-entry points change how and when a truck can get in.
Shoring is usually a sequence of loads through the day, not one large placement.
When concrete is late, the rig stops — and the rig is the most expensive thing standing still on the site.
Downtown Vancouver and Lower Mainland corridors restrict when a load can actually arrive.
Piles, caps and shotcrete rarely share one mix design, so a project can need several through the same day.
Repeated and phased work
Projects may involve repeated daily concrete demand rather than one large pour, which makes scheduling and production flexibility especially important.
A shoring program is a production sequence. Supply has to match the sequence the rig is working to — including the days it slows down, and the days it gets ahead.
Typical project shapes
These are examples of the project shapes we are asked to review — not commitments or guarantees. Every project is assessed on its own volumes, access and schedule.
Applications
Project-based concrete supply across the shoring and deep foundation scope — from the first primary pile to the caps and grade beams that follow.

Primary and secondary piles for excavation support and deep shoring systems.

Concrete for drilled soldier piles and related structural elements.

Concrete supply for tangent pile wall systems.

Drilled shafts, caissons and specialty foundation elements.

Concrete for excavation support and structural retaining systems.

Wet-mix shotcrete supply for shoring walls, stabilization and structural applications.

Concrete for pile caps, grade beams and related structural elements.
Supply strategy
For qualifying projects, producing concrete closer to the drilling operation can change how the schedule behaves. It is not the right answer for every site — but where the conditions below apply, it is worth reviewing.
For the right project, producing concrete closer to the drilling operation can provide greater scheduling flexibility.
Specification
Secant pile and shoring mixes are project-specific. They are usually written around how the concrete has to behave in the shaft or on the wall face, not just what it has to reach at 28 days.
We do not publish generic mix designs as guaranteed solutions, because a mix that suits one shoring project can be wrong for the next one.
Final mix designs must be reviewed and approved according to project specifications and engineering requirements.

The commercial argument
A drilling crew waiting for concrete costs significantly more than a small difference in price per cubic metre. Once the rig is set up and the crew is on the clock, every hour of waiting is production that does not come back — and on a shored site the effects compound through the trades behind it.
For secant piling and shoring, concrete supply is part of the production schedule — not just a material purchase.
What a delay touches
Supply is planned around the drilling program so these are managed before they land on the schedule.
How a project gets priced
Location, estimated pile count, daily volume, mix requirements and project schedule.
We review anticipated drilling output and the expected daily concrete demand it creates.
Conventional ready-mix, mobile production, or a project-specific supply strategy may be considered.
Pricing, scheduling, mobilization and supply requirements are confirmed.

Project bid form
Give us the project location, pile quantities, expected daily concrete requirement, schedule and specifications. The more of the optional detail you can provide, the more specific the bid will be.
Coverage
Supply is arranged across the Lower Mainland, with scheduling built around the drilling program rather than a fixed delivery window.
Large-volume and specialty shoring projects elsewhere in British Columbia may also be reviewed individually.
Who this page is for
This is commercial and heavy civil work. If you are pricing, engineering or drilling a shored excavation, deep foundation or retaining system, that is the conversation we are set up for.

Questions
If your question is not answered here, the bid form is the fastest route — include the drawings and specifications and the answer gets specific.
Projects are reviewed individually. Volume, location, schedule, mix requirements and available production capacity all factor into the answer. Submit the project details and we will confirm what can be supported.
Projects can range from moderate daily requirements to larger repeated production. What is practical depends on the supply method, site access, mix design and the drilling program, so daily volumes are confirmed per project.
Yes, depending on the supply method and project setup. Drilling progress rarely follows a fixed daily volume, so supply is planned around actual production rather than a fixed order.
For qualifying projects, mobile or on-site production may be considered. It is typically reviewed where daily quantities vary, the project runs long, or batch-plant distance creates scheduling risk.
Potentially, depending on equipment, specifications and approved mix requirements. Where a project requires more than one mix, that is part of the supply review.
Yes. See the Shotcrete Supply page for wet-mix shotcrete supply for shoring walls, stabilization and structural applications. Shotcrete Supply.
Submit project drawings, estimated volumes, schedule and specifications through the bid form on this page. The more of that you can provide up front, the more specific the response will be.
